Please somebody save me!  My friend wants me to go to that marital drama Fireproof with Kirk Cameron.  Uh, no.   I don’t think I can sit through that messianic matinee even if she does pay and buy me popcorn and juju bees.   I know it got a good write up in The New York Times, but I have better things to do like vacuum my car or paint the wood bench in my back yard.  I haven’t figured out a better excuse.  Its not that I’m exactly faithless, well, maybe I am more spiritual than a church going regular, but maybe that is the point and my friend is trying to save me.  I need saving from seeing Fireproof, haha.

Oh, I almost forgot to update on my outing with my friend and long time member.  It was a fun time at Chuys’s and then we went over to the Broken Spoke to listen to some music and danced a little bit.  I should learn how to country dance instead of hoofing it wildly.  I probably looked pretty funny trying to dance.  There were tons of people there pretty much crushing together on the dance floor so it got pretty hot and sweaty.  This caused my sheer dress to stick to my body and I was gulping down the sweet tea which is the main drink of Texas…well, beside beer, hehe.

I guess I did wear the right outfit at work!  One guy complemented me on my outfit, said I looked like Silk Spectre and another guy just said Boing!  when I was walking by, haha.  Boing!  I like that, so effective of a word.

Things are pretty good today though we might be in for a crazy storm today.  A tornado watch is on until late this evening so hold onto your hat!   I went home early today though I went in early too so no rest for the wicked as they say, haha.   I’m getting ready to go to a friends house to do crafting.   One of my best friends is really into crafts and likes to have all our girl friends get together and do fun projects.   We usually have a couple of glasses of wine too and the talk gets dirty, haha.   I’m going to wear one of my summer dresses.  It’s really pretty with an aqua blue silk design. 

A friend gave me a bottle of barefoot bubbly champagne.   I tried it last night and it’s pretty good and definately bubbly!  I thought it was a pretty cute pic too of a bare foot on the bottle.  Went to lunch with a friend today and then to Home Depot to find some pretty things for my garden.  I saw some blonde wood there that might look good for a patio deck.   They have some nice barbeque grills at home depot and patio furniture.   I’d like to get my back yard ship shape for some fun entertaining and take some sexy pics. 

I thought it was funny that m&m is having a contest to hunt for yellow because I always try to find the yellow m&ms in the bag and eat those first.  I would love to win the contest.  I would buy a new car since mine is starting to break down.  It seems to be something new every few weeks that needs fixing or fixin’ as they say in Texas.

hmmm, I was told I could leave work early today.  I looked at my boss wide eyed and he gave me his assurance that I wasn’t losing my job.  Okay, I can use the time off to do some errands and write my payments for bills, thats always a fun job.   I usually sit down and make some Swiss cocoa with nutmeg and cinnamon and kick off my heels.  Playing a little jazz music usually makes it more pleasurable.   

I recently put an ad up for dating so I’ve been trying to get out more and enjoy life.  It’s hard to meet someone who likes to go out and have fun and also likes just quiet time reading or watching tv together.  My aunt Isobel has taken up bird watching so I might go with her to get outside and see nature and you never know I might meet someone?  I wonder how it would go…”wow, look at the color on that wren”, “may I borrow your binoculars?”
