Touch of Mink
My friend, Rachel flew into Austin today so I’m excited to hang out with her for a couple of days before she goes to visit parents in Dallas. She likes to go out on the lake and rent wave runners for fun. I like it but its more fun watching her laugh and she drives those things like a crazy woman, lol. I’m headed out to the natural foods store to get some yummy things to make for our dinner tonight. The girl can eat so I”m making apple walnut salad, squash soup with ginger, and tilapia. Its still light fare for summer since this week we are going to be in the 90s. 98 degrees on one of the days.
My grandfather is still traveling and hanging out with his girlfriend. He did send me a movie, That touch of Mink, with Cary Grant and Doris Day. I can’t wait to watch it. It looks pretty funny from the cover. He also bought the Sign of Four for me. I don’t know this movie but the context on Turner Classic Movies says, Arthur Wontner made his third of five screen appearances as Sherlock Holmes in this witty and fast-paced adaptation of the Arthur Conan Doyle novel. A young woman’s puzzling inheritance, a sinister peg-legged man and his Pygmy sidekick, a boat chase down the Thames and a romance for Watson all stem from the mystery surrounding “the Sign of Four.”
Hope your week is going well…love and kisses, Delany
